The Player Who Can’t Level Up, based on the hit Korean webtoon, is getting a full roguelite action game adaptation. It’s coming in 2026 to PS5, Xbox, and PC via Steam. It’s being developed by Tripearl Games.
You play as Kim Kigyu, a hunter who can’t level up ever. Instead of grinding XP, you’ll rely on real-time strategy, reflexes, and build variety. “Improvement comes from strategy, not stats,” said Tripearl Games CEO Manson Jeong.
No XP, no problem
The game focuses on fast-paced, skill-based combat. You’ll unlock Ego Shards perk-like abilities and Blessings random buffs to build unique runs. No two attempts play the same. It’s roguelite to the core.
The combat is built around swordplay with normal strikes, berserk bursts, and “awakening” attacks. Mastery means survival.

A new story in the same universe
With over 210 million views, the webtoon is already massive. The game brings a brand-new side story, written in collaboration with the original creators. You’ll fight alongside known allies Lu and El, but the focus is on new lore and unexplored threats.

Built in Unreal Engine 5
No loading screens. Full camera control. Smooth animations and cinematic action. The Player who can’t Level Up made in Unreal Engine 5, with a clean, bold 3D look.
