The nightmare isn’t over yet. Playstack and Kumi Souls Games have revealed Awakened Ancients, a new DLC for The Last Faith, launching on 20 January 2026.

The gothic Metroidvania made waves for its ruthless difficulty, gorgeous pixel art, and haunting world design. Now, this expansion looks ready to drag players back into the darkness with new enemies, fresh weapons, and more twisted secrets waiting to be uncovered.

Eryk’s descent continues

You’ll once again step into the boots of Eryk, the tortured soul fighting through a crumbling world of faith and corruption. The base game already offered that perfect blend of precision combat and exploration — but Awakened Ancients aims to push it even further. Expect tougher fights, deadlier bosses, and a few divine surprises along the way.

I still remember my first run through The Last Faith, every victory felt earned, every death was deserved. It’s one of those rare games that hits hard both in gameplay and atmosphere. And with this DLC on the horizon, I’m ready to be punished all over again.
