Starfinder: Afterlight gameplay preview teases demo ahead of 2026 early access

Starfinder: Afterlight

Starfinder: Afterlight, the turn-based cRPG from Epictellers Entertainment, has shown its first gameplay. The Barcelona studio teased combat, exploration, and impressive voice work during the New Game+ Showcase. A demo is confirmed ahead of early access in summer 2026.

The game draws inspiration from Baldur’s Gate 3 but adds a sci-fi twist. Epictellers Entertainment wants to prove there’s still room for story-driven cRPGs while giving both fans and newcomers something fresh. Early footage hints at strategic combat and immersive environments.

Voice acting takes centre stage. Neil Newbon, back from Baldur’s Gate 3, voices a character and directs the cast. Roger Clark, Arthur Morgan’s voice from Red Dead Redemption 2, narrates the game, giving it a western-inspired tone.

The supporting cast is stacked. Fred Tatasciore, Inel Tomlinson, Melissa Medína, James Alexander, and Carolina Ravassa bring experience from games, TV, and animation, adding depth to the story.

The Kickstarter was a massive success, funding in just 80 minutes and exceeding its goal by hundreds of thousands. With a demo coming soon, players can get an early taste of Starfinder: Afterlight before early access, and finally step into the world the studio has built.
