Sony has revealed its newest wireless earbuds, called LinkBuds Clip, and they are made for people who want to enjoy music without cutting themselves off from the world. These open style earbuds let sound in from around you, so you can stay alert while still listening to your favourite audio.
Unlike regular earbuds, LinkBuds Clip do not sit deep inside the ear. They gently clip onto the ear, leaving the ear canal open. This makes it easy to hear nearby voices, traffic, or announcements. The open design also helps reduce pressure, making them more comfortable to wear for long hours.

Sony designed these earbuds using feedback from real users. The clip shape fits many ear sizes and stays in place during daily movement. Extra fitting cushions are included, allowing users to adjust how the earbuds sit for better comfort and grip.
The earbuds come with three sound modes to suit different situations. Standard mode is balanced and clear for everyday music. Voice Boost mode focuses on voices, which is helpful in noisy places like buses or busy streets. Sound Leakage Reduction mode helps lower sound spill, so people nearby are less likely to hear what you are listening to.

Even with the open design, Sony has not lowered its sound standards. The LinkBuds Clip support sound enhancement features like DSEE and 360 Reality Audio. Users can also fine tune the sound using a simple equaliser in the Sony Sound Connect app. For calls, Sony uses bone conduction sensors and smart noise control to keep voices clear, even when the background is loud.
Comfort is a big focus here. The earbuds are light and easy to forget you are wearing them. They are suitable for long workdays, walking, or light sports. Sony also offers them in several colours, so users can pick a look that matches their style. Optional covers and cushions add more ways to personalise them.
Battery life is strong for open earbuds. With the case, users can get up to 37 hours of use. A short 3 minute charge can give up to 1 hour of listening. The earbuds also support water resistance, easy tap controls, device switching, and smart sound settings that change based on activity.
Sony has also taken steps to reduce environmental impact. The packaging uses no plastic at all, and a portion of the materials used in the earbuds comes from recycled sources.
