NetEase Games and Joker Studio, the team behind Identity V, have announced their new free-to-play oceanic adventure RPG, Sea of Remnants. It’s coming in 2026 to PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, iOS, and Android.

Exploring the world of Sea of Remnants

In Sea of Remnants, you play as a puppet-like sailor with no memories. Together with a mysterious girl, you’ll explore vast seas, unknown islands, and a city called Orbtopia that’s slowly revealing its secrets. The game features over 300 unique characters to meet—friends, enemies, or something in between. Every choice you make changes the world and shapes your own story.

You’ll recruit a crew of puppetfolk allies, upgrade your ship with custom parts, and build teams for exploration and turn-based battles. Rival factions react to your actions, and the city itself changes with your decisions, so every player’s journey will be different.

The ocean is full of life and surprises. Realistic water physics, marine creatures, weather effects, and dangers like sea monsters make sailing thrilling. You’ll take part in fast, real-time naval combat against enemy ships and threats from the deep.

When you’re not battling, you can relax with side activities like fishing, cooking hotpot, and playing mahjong in the Harbour of Joy. These small moments bring the world to life and offer a break from the action.

Sea of Remnants promises an immersive and ever-changing adventure where your choices truly matter. Look out for it next year on PS5, PC, and mobile platforms.
