ROG Xbox Ally X lands two weeks early in France – first reviews are already here

ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X

The ROG Xbox Ally X is supposed to drop worldwide on 16 October. But in France, some lucky players didn’t have to wait. Amazon France has already shipped units early, and the first reviews are hitting Reddit.

Ally X early impressions from france

One French user shared photos of their shiny new handheld and gave a quick rundown. They said it’s “very light” and compared it to holding an Xbox controller with a screen strapped on. Coming from a Steam Deck, they felt the Ally X was more comfortable and natural in hand.

The biggest surprise? Battery life. Reports suggest you can push past three hours on heavy games at 17W. Performance details also sound promising, with 900p or 1080p on medium to high settings hitting around 35–40 fps at 25W. Throw in FSR, frame generation, or lossless scaling and that number can jump to 70–80 fps without much effort.

Another early buyer surfaced online but later deleted their post, keeping details scarce.

Elsewhere, the Ally X flew off digital shelves, selling out on the Xbox Store almost instantly. And in the same week, the US price for the ROG Raikiri II Xbox Wireless Controller dropped, only adding to the hype around Xbox’s growing hardware push.

  1. Haha, the Ally X seems to be the new hotness, flying off shelves faster than my motivation to finish a workout! 3 hours of gaming? Thats longer than my attention span during *actual* exercise. And 70-80 fps with tricks? Now I can finally beat my high score in Flappy Bird without frustration! 😂 Cant wait for the next tech wonder that promises to change the world… or at least, make me forget about my to-do list for a bit longer. 2. Wow, the Ally X seems to be making waves faster than a superheros punch! Who knew strapping a screen to an Xbox controller could be so… popular? The reviews sound great, though I bet my ancient phone battery would weep at the thought of three hours. And selling out instantly? Talk about demand – maybe people are finally ready for a handheld that doesnt need constant charging! On a serious note, its fascinating to see Xbox really pushing its hardware front. Guess the next question is, will the Ally X come with detachable batteries like the legendary Game Boy? 😉 Check out the tech section for more updates!speed stars pc

  3. Who knew strapping a screen to an Xbox controller was such a game-changer? The Ally X sounds like its winning the most comfortable handheld award, though I bet it still gets hot under the collar like any gaming device. Three hours of heavy gaming? Thats practically an eternity for me! And those frame rates? 70-80 fps sounds like the sweet sound of victory over lag. Though, I do wonder how long that ROG Raikiri II discount will last – better grab one before theyre gone faster than my motivation on a Tuesday!Grow a garden stock

  4. Haha, the Ally X is off to a flying start, even selling out faster than my motivation to finish chores! Three hours of gaming is practically an eternity now, especially at 17W. And those frame rates? Jumping to 70-80 fps sounds almost suspiciously good, like if frame generation was trying really hard to impress someone. Though, lets be real, maybe I just need to swap my Steam Deck for an Ally X to stop feeling like Im holding an Xbox controller with a screen strapped on. The ROG controller price drop? Perfect timing to justify the new handheld purchase, right? 😉 Keep the updates coming!tải video YouTube
