Capcom has dropped a new live-action trailer for Resident Evil Requiem, and it’s as brutal emotionally as it is terrifying visually.
Resident Evil Requiem – Live Action Trailer
The trailer stars Maika Monroe, known from Longlegs. But don’t expect action-packed sequences. This is personal. Heartbreaking even.

It focuses on a mother and daughter trying to survive the Raccoon City outbreak. At first, life is quiet. They laugh. They play. Then chaos hits. Zombies swarm. Sirens wail. Explosions rip through the streets. Every step is a fight. And the ending? Tragic, without spoiling a single detail.
Capcom teased this trailer in a clever way. A red poster popped up with the phrase “Evil Has Always Had a Name” and a QR code. Scan it, and you’re straight in. Fans get a glimpse of horror with a human touch.
Monroe said the story had “a lot of heart” and was “really heartbreaking.” Director The Lo added it felt nostalgic, going back to the ’90s Raccoon City, with zombie visuals that excite longtime fans.

Resident Evil Requiem is set to launch on February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC. Judging by this trailer, Capcom isn’t just delivering scares, they’re bringing emotion back to survival horror.
