PRAGMATA finally locks in a 2026 release date and adds Switch 2 after years of silence

Pragmata

CAPCOM has confirmed that its long-troubled sci-fi action adventure Pragmata will launch on April 24, 2026. The news came during The Game Awards 2025, alongside a new trailer and a surprise platform addition.

The game is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2. That Switch 2 version is brand new, expanding the release plans at the last moment.

Pre-orders are now live. The Standard Edition is priced at $59.99 (around £47.99), while the Deluxe Edition costs $69.99 (around £55.99). The Deluxe version includes the Shelter Variety Pack, which adds cosmetic outfits for Hugh and Diana, a weapon skin, Diana emotes, extra Shelter music, and a digital art library with 75 pieces.

Players who pre-order either edition will also get bonus outfits. Hugh receives the samurai-styled Neo Bushido armour, while Diana gets the ninja-inspired Neo Kunoichi look. CAPCOM has also teased more details coming soon about a Diana amiibo.

There’s something to play right now, too. A PC demo titled PRAGMATA SKETCHBOOK is available on Steam. Console demo plans will be shared at a later date.

This announcement didn’t come out of nowhere. The game was rated last month by South Korea’s GRAC board with a 12+ age rating, hinting that things were finally moving.

For a while, many feared it would vanish like Deep Down. Originally revealed in 2020 and once planned for 2022, it disappeared more than once. It wasn’t until hands-on play at Gamescom 2025 that confidence returned.

This time, PRAGMATA looks like it’s actually landing.
