CRKD has officially revealed the Nitro Deck 2, a new controller designed to improve handheld gaming on the Nintendo Switch 2. The controller is also fully compatible with the current Switch and Switch OLED, making it easy for players to use across different models.

The Nitro Deck 2 is built to hold the console during handheld play, offering a more natural grip and better balance. One of its standout features is a removable centre section. With a quick change, the controller can be used on its own when the console is connected to a TV, giving players more flexibility without needing an extra controller.

CRKD has focused heavily on improving control accuracy. The Nitro Deck 2 uses CaptiStick Technology, which relies on a contact-free sensor system. This design helps stop stick drift, a common problem for many controllers. Since there is no physical wear inside the stick, players can expect more stable movement and longer-lasting performance.

The controller also supports Bluetooth and USB connections, allowing it to work with PCs, mobile devices, and smart TVs. Players can adjust settings and controls using the CRKD Companion App, making it easier to match the controller to their personal play style.

Nitro Deck 2 will be available in Smoke Black and White. Both versions feature metallic-coloured stick bases that give the controller a clean and premium look.

CRKD plans to begin shipping the Nitro Deck 2 in Spring 2026. Pre-orders are already live for players who want to secure one early.
