Mecha BREAK finally has a release date, and if you’ve been itching for a new mech shooter, this one’s charging in fast. Seasun Games has confirmed that the free-to-play multiplayer game will hit Xbox and PC via Steam on 1st July. Sadly, PlayStation 5 players will have to wait a bit longer—no date announced for that version just yet.
In a press release, Seasun Games CEO and Mecha BREAK executive producer Kris Kwok said,
“With Mecha BREAK, we’re focused on delivering an action-packed mecha shooter. As huge fans of the genre, we’re as eager to play as our passionate player base. Crafting the ultimate player experience has been our top priority. From day one, we’ve listened closely to community feedback to shape Mecha BREAK into a game that everyone, especially mecha fans, will love.”
What to expect from Mecha BREAK
So, what is Mecha BREAK? Think of it as a third-person multiplayer shooter but with big, customisable mechs, crazy aerial combat, and a dark sci-fi twist. There are three main modes:
- Ace Arena: 3v3 fast-paced battles
- Operation VERGE: classic 6v6 team fights
- Mashmak: a PvPvE extraction-style mode that blends chaos with strategy

You’ll pick from different mech classes: assault, melee, sniper, recon, or support, and take them into huge maps filled with rugged terrain, both on the ground and in the air. Each Striker (the name for the mechs) and pilot is fully customisable, so expect a fair bit of personal flair and tactical flexibility.
The story? It’s set after something called the Catastrophe, where a weird mineral called Corite changed everything. It powered up the world’s energy systems—but also began spreading like a virus, wrecking the environment. Now, only a few habitable zones remain. As one of the few chosen to pilot a third-generation BREAK Striker, you’ll be working with the mysterious S.H.A.D.O.W. task force to push back against this global crisis and secure a future for what’s left of humanity.

With its mix of high-flying action, gritty sci-fi worldbuilding, and team-based strategy, Mecha BREAK looks like it’s aiming squarely at fans of Armored Core, Titanfall, and fast-paced PvP shooters. And the best part? It’s free-to-play.
