YouTube channel A9VG just dropped 7 minutes of new Lost Soul Aside gameplay. It’s a hands-on preview from China. You might not understand the commentary, but the action speaks for itself.
From solo dev to full-on action beast
This game’s been cooking since 2016, originally built by one guy using Unreal Engine 4. It blew up online because it looked like Final Fantasy XV with faster combat. The main character, Kazer, still gives off strong Noctis vibes. But this game has its own wild style.
Combat is fast and sharp. You’ll switch weapons on the fly. Chain combos. Dodge. Parry. Every weapon has unique stats and powers. Timing matters. You can’t just mash buttons.

Dragon powers changes the combat in Lost Soul Aside
You’re not alone in battle. A dragon-like creature called Arena fights with you. It boosts damage, heals you, or throws up a shield. Fill your Fusion Gauge and Arena’s claws wreck enemies. That move evolves as you play.
You’ll also collect weapon fragments. These let you change how weapons look and perform. Some give more power. Others help with healing or speed. You can mix them to fit your playstyle.

The game uses Unreal Engine 4. Ray tracing is in. So are improved shadows, reflections, and lighting. DLSS 4 is supported. Multi-Frame Gen hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Lost Soul Aside launches 29 August. It looks slick, fast, and brutal.
