Dan Regan, a lead systems designer at CI Games whose credits span Gears Tactics and the original Lords of the Fallen, recently updated his portfolio page to reference his ongoing work on the sequel. The update was flagged on March 31 via the Lords of the Fallen subreddit, where fans noted that Regan’s bio had been amended to include details about the follow-up.

The original text stated: “Lords of the Fallen 2 is expected to release in August 2026.” The line has since been quietly removed, with the entry now reading only: “I look forward to discussing it more here once the game has released!”

The swift edit strongly suggests the information was not intended for public release. Neither Hexworks nor CI Games has issued an official statement or confirmed a release date for the sequel, and the August 2026 window should be treated as unverified until a formal announcement is made.

Lords of the Fallen 2 is among the more anticipated Soulslike releases currently in development. The franchise has steadily built its audience since the 2023 reboot, and the sequel carries expectations to push further.
