The new SP Platinum SFX Series from Lian Li arrives with a clear goal: to give small PC builds the same power and stability you normally see in big systems. The company has introduced two fully modular power supplies, an 850 W and a 1000 W model, both made for small-form-factor cases but strong enough for high-end parts. They come with 80 Plus Platinum efficiency, meaning they waste less energy and stay cooler even during heavy loads. They also meet the latest Intel ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 rules, so they work smoothly with modern graphics cards. To support this, the units include a new 12V-2×6 cable designed in-house by Lian Li, which offers better contact, lower heat, and a clear dual-colour design that helps users check if the cable is fully plugged in.

Inside the power supply, SP Platinum uses high-quality Japanese capacitors rated for 105°C, helping the unit stay stable for many years. It also comes with a long list of safety protections, such as overcurrent, overvoltage, short-circuit and more, giving peace of mind for gamers and creators who run their systems for many hours each day. Another thoughtful feature is the 92 mm FDB fan, which stays off when the load is 40% or lower. This makes the system very quiet during light work, so users can enjoy silence while browsing or watching videos.

To make life easier, Lian Li also includes an extension cable with an inline on/off switch. This is especially useful for systems where the power supply is tucked inside a tight case and reaching the back power button is difficult. With this small switch, you can turn your PSU off without opening the case. The included braided modular cables are flexible and soft, which is a big help for small builds where cable space is limited. They bend easily and reduce clutter, improving both airflow and the final look of the system. And if someone wants to place this SFX power supply inside a normal ATX case, Lian Li includes an SFX-to-ATX bracket so the installation is simple.
