Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has reached a strong commercial milestone, passing five million copies sold roughly a year after its February 2025 launch. The figure surfaced in Embracer Group’s latest financial update, and it paints a clear picture: the medieval RPG has turned into one of the publisher’s brighter recent wins.
Rather than flashy marketing or constant headlines, the game seems to have grown steadily through word of mouth, post-launch updates, and a run of paid DLC packs. The final expansion reportedly exceeded expectations, helping extend momentum well beyond launch season.
Critically, Kingdom Come II landed well, too. Reviewers praised its grounded historical setting, layered systems, and detailed world design. For many RPG fans, it delivered a slower, more believable alternative to the usual fantasy epics.

That success matters for Embracer, especially during a period where overall sales dipped year-on-year. Currency pressures and recent business restructuring have affected revenue, but leadership continues to highlight core franchises, including Tomb Raider, Dead Island, and Kingdom Come, as the company’s long-term focus.
For now, the takeaway is simple: a niche historical RPG has proven it can sell big without chasing trends. The bigger question is whether the studio builds on this momentum or plays it safe next time.
