High on Life 2 is officially locked in for release on 13 February 2026. Squanch Games confirmed the date during Gamescom 2025, alongside a huge 42-minute gameplay demo that showed off what’s new in the sequel. The comedy-driven shooter will arrive on PC, PS5, and Xbox, with Xbox Game Pass players getting it day one.

The sequel takes place five years after the first game. You start out hunting down a senator who wants to turn humans into pills to cash in even more with his pharma empire. But the bigger twist is that you’ve been handed a bounty on your own sister, pushing the story into darker and more chaotic territory as you try to protect humanity while unravelling the conspiracy.
Gameplay has also had a big shake-up. The skateboard is now a core movement system, changing how you get around. New guns, new enemies, and the bizarre new world of ConCon – made of floating conventions – add to the fresh chaos.
From the look of the demo, the scale and budget are much bigger than the 2022 original. The question now is whether High on Life 2 can balance the over-the-top humour with deeper gameplay. We’ll find out in February.
