Publisher Nacon and developer Rogue Factor have dropped the story trailer for Hell is Us, giving players a closer look at the game’s dark, war-torn world. Alongside the trailer, a free 16-page digital prequel comic is now available on the Nacon website, covering events just before the game begins.

Set in Hadea, a mysterious country cut off from the world and torn by civil war, the game follows Remi. Born in Hadea but smuggled out as a child, he returns as a peacekeeper on a mission. His journey is both a fight for peace and a personal quest to uncover why his parents abandoned him.

Players will also face a strange phenomenon called “the Calamity.” This mystery spawns bizarre creatures resembling ancient monuments, which Remi must battle throughout his mission.

Hell is Us is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on September 4. Fans can explore the prequel comic now to get a head start on the story.
