Grounded 2 hit over 49,500 concurrent players on Steam less than an hour after launch, beating the original game’s all-time peak of 32,012 from 2021, according to SteamDB.
That’s just on Steam. The game’s also out on Game Pass Ultimate for Xbox and PC.
Grounded 2 adds vehicles and expands the scale
Announced in June during the Xbox Games Showcase, game launched in early access today for £24.99 ($30), or via Game Pass.
The sequel introduces buggies, rideable vehicles that weren’t possible in the first game. Obsidian leads development, with support from Eidos-Montréal.
Strong launch numbers suggest Grounded 2 is off to a solid start.
