Genshin Impact is finally moving on from PS4. MiHoYo has confirmed that support for the console ends in 2026 due to hardware limitations. The game will be pulled from the PlayStation Store on 10 September 2025, with purchases disabled by 25 February 2026. The final shutdown hits on 8 April 2026, cutting off all access for PS4 players.
Mobile users aren’t safe either, updated requirements mean some older phones won’t cut it. Devices now need better chipsets, more RAM, and newer OS versions to run the game smoothly.

Genshin Impact new mobile requirements
Android | iOS | |
---|---|---|
CPU/GPU | Snapdragon 660 / Helio G88 (855+ recommended) | A11 chip (A12+ recommended) |
RAM | 4GB (6GB+ recommended) | 3GB (4GB+ recommended) |
OS | Android 10+ (12+ recommended) | iOS 13+ |
Sony says PS5 users have already overtaken PS4 in monthly activity, so the shift is no surprise. Genshin Impact remains strong on PS5, PC, and Xbox, and MiHoYo is still cooking with Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero.
