Frostpunk 2 is finally coming to consoles. 11 Bit Studios has confirmed a release date: 18 September 2025 for PS5 and Xbox. It will also launch day one on Xbox Game Pass.

The reveal came through a new trailer. But it looks like someone jumped the gun. The trailer was set to private shortly after going live. Still, copies of it are already making rounds online.

Frostpunk 2 launched on PC in September 2024. It received strong reviews for its bleak setting, tough choices, and city-building gameplay. Console players have been waiting ever since.

Frostpunk 2 DLC still coming

Two more DLCs are set to release by the end of 2025. A third expansion is planned for 2026. All of this follows the roadmap shared earlier by the devs.

The leak may have been a mistake. But fans won’t mind. The long wait for consoles is almost over.
