Remedy is giving its first online co-op game, FBC: Firebreak, a major boost. The free Breakpoint update goes live on Monday, September 29, and it’s packed with new content, weapons, enemies, and fixes.

The highlight is Outbreak, a new Crisis mission set in the Research Sector, where Mold infestation shakes things up with unique challenges. The old Job Board has been replaced with a Crisis Board, offering curated missions that refresh every 30 minutes. Players can expect randomized objectives, rewards, and even alternative goals for added variety. Quick Reinforce also lets you jump into active runs to help others.

Progression has been reworked. All weapons and gear are now fully powered on unlock. Leveling up grants new equipment, while currencies focus on cosmetics and perks. Gun mods add a new layer, with 27 available at launch.
Breakpoint adds three heavy weapons, three grenades, and five new enemy types, including Mold Walkers and corrupted Hiss threats. A new tutorial, orientation videos, and smoother early-game flow make the game more welcoming to newcomers. Quality-of-life tweaks like moving while downed, sliding, and improved augments round things out.

This is just the start. Remedy plans another big update for Firebreak in November and a third in March 2026.
