Fallout: New Vegas is getting a full RTX Remix mod. It adds proper path tracing and updated textures. And yes, it looks incredible indoors.
The mod is made by skurtyyskirts, who shared an early preview. Interiors now have realistic lighting, shadows, and reflections. Vaults and dark corridors look completely transformed.
The update also includes new textures built for ray tracing. Surfaces have more detail. Lighting bounces naturally. It’s a big jump especially for a 2010 game.
Fallout New Vegas RTX mod is already making a difference
Outdoor areas, though, don’t look as good yet. The bright Mojave desert ends up too glossy. The harsh sunlight doesn’t mix well with the path tracing, at least not yet. Still, this is a very early build.
Fallout: New Vegas is still massively popular 15 years later. Many fans consider it the best in the series. It never got a proper sequel, even though Obsidian and Bethesda are both now under Microsoft.

Talks of New Vegas 2 have gone quiet. It’s been over three years since any real update. But while we wait, this RTX mod could be the closest thing we get.
