Gamescom 2025 gave fans their first big look at Directive 8020, the next survival horror game from Supermassive Games. SECTOR shared an 18-minute gameplay video, showing how the game mixes cinematic storytelling with tense action.

Directive 8020 gameplay

The game is set aboard a doomed spaceship, which follows a crew on a mission to save humanity. Things quickly turn deadly when an alien creature begins hunting them down. Players must scavenge, craft weapons, and rely on stealth to stay alive in the dark, hostile corridors of the ship.

One of the key features is the Turning Points system. This branching story mechanic lets players make choices that change the direction of the game. Endings, hidden paths, and even the fate of crew members will depend on the decisions made.

Directive 8020 is planned to release in early 2026.
