Valve is about to shake up Deadlock in a big way. Six new heroes are joining the roster, with players deciding the release order.
The first of these, Mina the vampire, is already live. She’s a glass cannon built for high burst damage, with the ability to escape as a swarm of bats. Her ultimate unleashes an even larger swarm that hunts down and silences enemies.
The rest of the lineup includes Billy the demonic goat, Paige the book-wielding mage, Victor the Frankenstein-style monster, The Doorman, and the mysterious Drifter. Their abilities remain under wraps for now, but all six will roll out over the next two weeks, one every other day, echoing the old Team Fortress 2 update days.

Players get to decide in Deadlock
The order won’t be random. Players can vote on who comes next inside The Hideout, a new hub space that arrived in the latest update. The Hideout features voting booths, practice ranges, and the option to invite friends over between matches.
Alongside this, Valve has rolled out visual upgrades to maps, a redesigned character select screen, and updated looks for some heroes.
Deadlock is still in limited early access and requires an invite to play. Valve hasn’t revealed when it will move into open beta, but updates like this suggest the game is ramping up for something bigger.
