Bloober Team has dropped a surprise demo for its new horror title Cronos: The New Dawn, and it’s available now on PC. The demo covers the opening mission, giving players a taste of the grim world and twisted enemies waiting ahead.

You’ll play as the Traveler, tasked with finding a missing predecessor in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. It’s your introduction to the game’s combat, exploration, and its eerie “merge” mechanic, where enemies blend and evolve in real time. Expect tight corridors, unsettling sounds, and a fight for survival at every turn.

Players start out with a trusty handgun, the Sword MK-1615, but there’s more firepower to discover as you push deeper into the mission. The best part is you can replay the demo as much as you like to master its systems or uncover hidden details.

Despite its haunting atmosphere, there’s a lighter touch too, you can even pet cats along the way. Cronos: The New Dawn runs on Unreal Engine 5, so expect demanding visuals but stunning results.
