After years of waiting, Crimson Desert finally has a release date, and a fresh look at gameplay that’s worth the hype.
Pearl Abyss has confirmed that its open-world action-adventure will launch on March 19, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox. The news dropped during PlayStation’s recent State of Play, ending months of silence since its latest delay in August.
Crimson Desert 11 Minute gameplay video
Now, thanks to IGN’s First series, fans can see 11 minutes of new footage featuring a full quest that leads into a massive, cinematic boss fight. It’s the kind of chaotic, spectacle-driven combat Crimson Desert has been teasing for years, and it looks sharper than ever.

The game’s journey to release hasn’t been smooth. It was first delayed indefinitely in 2021, resurfacing only at big events like Gamescom with short demos but no release news. Now, with the date locked in, it feels like we’re finally closing in on the finish line.
It’s been six long years since Crimson Desert was first announced, and by the time it lands, that number will hit seven. Here’s hoping this one sticks, because after that new gameplay reveal, it looks like the wait might actually be worth it.
