Crimson Desert Surpasses 4 Million Sales As Pearl Abyss Confirms Latest Milestone

Crimson Desert 4 Million Sales

Pearl Abyss has confirmed that Crimson Desert has surpassed 4 million copies sold, marking the latest milestone in a strong post-launch sales run for the Korean studio’s action RPG.

The figure builds on earlier numbers reported by the developer: 2 million units sold within the game’s first 24 hours, followed by 3 million in under a week. “Thank you to all the Greymanes who have been a part of this journey with us and for all of your incredible love and support,” Pearl Abyss said in a statement accompanying the announcement.

Released on 19th March, Crimson Desert has received a series of post-launch updates addressing player concerns. Among the more significant patches was the removal of AI-generated artwork, which had drawn notable criticism from the community. Inventory management remains an unresolved complaint among players, however, suggesting the studio still has work ahead.

Away from the criticism, players have been engaging positively with the game’s broader systems, uncovering cosmetic options and NPC mechanics that have generated discussion within the community.

With sales continuing to climb, Crimson Desert is shaping up as one of the more commercially successful RPG launches of 2025.
