Bandai Namco has just dropped the official story trailer for Code Vein 2, and it looks absolutely intense. The anime-style soulslike is making a big comeback on PC on 30th January 2026, complete with Denuvo protection.

Set in a crumbling future, the sequel follows a world where humanity’s barely hanging on. Revenants, powerful, blood-fuelled beings, are the last defence against chaos. But a new nightmare called Luna Rapacis is turning them into savage monsters known as Horrors, pushing what’s left of civilisation to the brink.

You step in as a Revenant Hunter, tracking down corrupted beings with the help of Lou, a mysterious girl who can travel into the past. Together, you’ll jump between timelines, rewrite history, and uncover the secrets that could save (or doom) what’s left of the world.

Code Vein 2 splits its story across two time periods, putting real weight behind every choice you make. Combat’s still all about risk and reward, drain enemies for blood, unlock powerful new skills, and experiment with Blood Codes to craft your ideal fighting style.

Then there’s the Jail system, special weapons and gear that let you fine-tune your build for tougher battles. You’ll need every edge you can get because this world isn’t forgiving.

And you won’t be alone this time. Partner characters fight beside you, each with their own stories, abilities, and personalities. The stronger your connection, the more it shapes how everything plays out.

From what we’ve seen so far, Code Vein 2 is aiming for something bigger and bolder, more emotion, more danger, and way more blood. The end of the world never looked this stylish.
