Borderlands 4 is done. It’s gone gold. Gearbox and 2K confirmed the news today. The game will launch as planned on September 12. That includes PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox.

Going gold means it’s ready for printing and digital release. Yes, delays can still happen. Cyberpunk 2077 did it. But that’s rare. This one looks locked.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version comes later. It’s set for October 3. That delay was announced earlier this week. It’s a short wait, but it raises questions.

Will the Switch 2 version run well? Can it handle the action? Will it use DLSS or mouse controls? These features would suit Borderlands 4 perfectly.

For now, the wait is almost over. Borderlands 4 hits PC and consoles on September 12. Switch 2 joins the fight on October 3.
