Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 goes live on August 8. The update adds Blade, reworks team-ups, and introduces stricter penalties for disruptive players. A second update arrives on August 22 with a new mode, Resource Rumble, and the Throne of Knull map.
Team-ups get reworked, Blade joins the roster
Blade joins the Lunar Force team-up with Moon Knight and Cloak & Dagger. Two team-ups, Guardian Revival and Atlas Bond, are being removed. Loki is dropped from Ragnarok Rebirth, which now features Hela and Thor.
Two new team-ups are being added:
- Duality Dance – Adam Warlock and Luna Snow
- Vibrant Vitality – Mantis, Groot, and Loki
Other changes include Iron Fist joining Chilling Assault and Star-Lord joining Rocket Network.

Stronger punishments for toxic players
Voice chat will now be monitored. Players can also filter words in text chat. Quitters in competitive matches will face longer bans and more point deductions.
If a teammate quits, remaining players will get point compensation. NetEase says disconnection appeals will be reviewed faster to avoid false bans.
Can Marvel Rivals bounce back?
Marvel Rivals launched strong but has lost momentum. This update is a push to steady the ship. New content, stricter rules, and quality-of-life fixes all aim to bring players back.

Season 3.5 launches August 8. The follow-up update drops August 22.
