In a social media post, Game Science confirmed:
Destined Ones, GameScience will be joining this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live. The show kicks off at 8:00 p.m. (CEST) on August 19, and we look forward to seeing you there.
The community believes a major expansion is coming. Black Myth: Wukong turned heads in August 2024, becoming one of the standout Soulslike releases of the year.
The post came with an image of monsters, calligraphy, and mystical effects. A fan translation of the text read:

A date – August 20, 2025 – was also visible. That’s one day after Opening Night Live. Many now think a surprise launch is planned. The idea of a shadowdrop DLC is gaining serious traction.
