Beyerdynamic has unveiled the DT 990 PRO X, a powerful new addition to its iconic headphone lineup, bringing professional-grade sound with modern enhancements. It features a low 48-ohm impedance, making it suitable for everything from studio interfaces to mobile devices without compromising audio quality. Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO X – STELLAR.45 driver
At the core of the DT 990 PRO X is the advanced STELLAR.45 driver, developed in Germany to deliver exceptional dynamics, low distortion, and crystal-clear detail across a wide frequency range of 5 to 40,000 Hz. This makes the headphones an excellent companion to studio monitors, acting as an “acoustic magnifying glass” that helps uncover fine sonic details and imperfections in any mix.

According to Kevin Nietsch, Product Manager at beyerdynamic, “Most home producers have studio monitors they use to check their mixes. With the DT 990 PRO X, we give you a precise tool—an acoustic magnifying glass that lets you peer deep into any mix—an ideal complement to existing studio monitors.”
With its enhanced sound signature, detachable components, and a wide range of interchangeable parts, the DT 990 PRO X is not just a new product—it’s a reliable studio workhorse designed to deliver clarity and comfort for years to come.
