Poncle, the publisher behind indie hit Vampire Survivors, and Nao Games, the developer of the stylishly chaotic Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun, have just launched their latest creation: Berserk or Die, a fast-paced, keyboard-smashing side-scroller now available for PC on Steam, priced at $3.99 / £2.99 / €3.99.
Created by Nao Shibata, founder of Nao Games, Berserk or Die offers an innovative and unconventional gameplay experience, centred around frantic key-mashing combat. Shibata’s aim was clear: “I created this game to make something completely new,” he explained. “I believe it offers an experience that no other game can provide. Not only have I been able to bring my unique ideas to life, but I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people along the way.”

In Berserk or Die, players become the last soldier standing amidst relentless waves of enemies on battlefields blending historical and fantasy settings. Survival depends purely on aggressive attacks: the more keys players mash, the more powerful and devastating their moves become. Each level is a test of endurance, timing, and reflexes, with combat itself driving the player’s movement, no destination needed, just survival.
