Battlefield RedSec delivers exciting free-to-play battle royale fun for fans

Battlefield RedSec

EA has officially introduced Battlefield RedSec, a thrilling free-to-play battle royale game built on the classic Battlefield style. The game will launch on PC through Steam, Epic Games, and the EA App, and will also arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Battlefield RedSec lets players dive into massive online battles with up to 100 participants. You can join in teams of four or two, facing off across different modes, including a standard battle royale and a special mission-based elimination mode. Each mode promises non-stop action and teamwork-focused gameplay.

The game is set in Fort Lyndon, a huge government testing ground in California that has turned into an urban war zone. EA says it’s the largest Battlefield map ever made. Players can expect everything from tight indoor fights to big outdoor clashes, with destructible environments adding chaos and excitement to every match.

Battlefield RedSec PC system requirements

To run Battlefield RedSec, you’ll need at least an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, along with a Radeon RX 5600 XT, GeForce RTX 2060, or Intel Arc A380 GPU. The game also requires 16 GB of RAM, as well as TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot to be enabled. This means players on Linux or Steam Deck won’t be able to play for now.

RedSec includes Portal, the updated version of Battlefield’s powerful custom game creator. With Portal, players can build their own game modes, add vehicles, and tweak weapon setups using the full RedSec arsenal. It’s a fun way for the community to create and share new experiences.

With its huge player count, destructible cities, and creative tools, Battlefield RedSec aims to bring back the excitement fans love. It’s fast, fun, and free — giving both veterans and new players a chance to jump into the action like never before.
