Class changes for teamplay

The official Battlefield X account has dropped key details. The Assault class is seeing big changes. Enhanced Mobility is out. Commanding Presence is in. This new Signature Trait speeds up objective captures and pulls squads out of combat status faster. The Deploy Beacon is also moving from Recon to Assault. It’s now a frontline tool for squad flanking. But there’s a catch, it has limited uses and self-destructs after use.

A new gadget called the Assault Ladder is also being introduced. Depending on how it’s deployed, it works as a ladder or a ramp. Squads can use it to reach high ground or flank enemies. The developers want Assault players to lead the charge, literally.

The Engineer class is staying as is. Feedback says it’s in a good spot. The Support class may see tweaks to supply crate refresh rates and weapon buff impact. For Recon, Pathfinder training is gone. It’s replaced by Spec Ops training, which offers stealthier movement, gadget spotting, and quicker combat resets. At Level 3, Recon players can call in a UAV for passive enemy spotting.

Matchmaking will factor in skill

During a press briefing, the developers confirmed Battlefield 6 matchmaking will consider ping, player location, server availability, and skill factors. The exact skill criteria haven’t been shared yet. But the aim is clear, matches should feel fair and balanced.
