Battlefield 6 players will soon have another chance to get early hands-on time with the game, as the next round of Labs testing is set to begin later this week. According to a recent leak, the closed test will kick off on Friday, August 29, and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox.

This follows the game’s open beta earlier in the month, which drew in a huge number of players and gave the community its first real look at what the upcoming shooter has to offer. While details about what the new Labs test will include remain under wraps, it is expected to feature more fine-tuned content as developers continue to prepare for launch.

How to join the Battlefield 6 Labs program

Players who previously joined a Labs session before the open beta will automatically be invited back for this next phase. For everyone else, sign-ups remain open, though only a select number will be chosen to participate. Those accepted will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement, preventing them from officially sharing gameplay footage or impressions. However, if past tests are anything to go by, leaks are likely to make their way online regardless.

Battlefield 6 is scheduled for release on October 10 for PC and current-gen consoles. Coming off the disappointment of Battlefield 2042, expectations are high, and early impressions suggest that fans are cautiously optimistic about the direction of the franchise.
