Battlefield 6 is a platform, not just a game

Battlefield 6

EA is changing its approach to Battlefield. After the failure of 2042, the company now sees Battlefield 6 as a long-term platform, not a standalone game.

CEO Andrew Wilson said during EA’s latest earnings call;

“This isn’t just a product. We’re really building out Battlefield as a platform.”

Four studios are working on the game: DICE, Criterion, Motive, and Ripple Effect. All of them now operate under the Battlefield Studios name.
