Three years after launch, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is finally adding third-person mode. Ubisoft Massive says the big update drops on 5 December.

You’ll be able to switch between first- and third-person anytime. No more forced first-person. No more motion sickness. You can now see your Na’vi in full during combat, flying, and exploration.

Ubisoft rebuilt the movement, controls, camera, and sound. The goal? Make third-person feel smooth and natural.

Avatar update brings freedom, challenge, and a second chance to explore Pandora

New Game+ is also coming. You’ll keep all your gear and skills. But the enemies get tougher.

There’s a new skill tree and stronger loot too. It’s aimed at players who want a harder, deeper replay.

Creative Director Omar Bouali said:

“This update is a celebration of our community’s passion.”

The release is just two weeks before Avatar: Fire and Ash hits cinemas. Smart timing.

Also, there’s a huge sale. Frontiers of Pandora is 70% off on Steam until 31 July.

That includes the Gold and Ultimate Editions. Both come with the two DLCs: The Sky Breaker and Secrets of the Spires.

Missed the game at launch? Now’s your chance. Third-person is finally here.
