Assassin’s Creed Shadows has passed 5 million players. That’s up from 3 million in March. Players have logged 2 billion stealth kills, 1 billion kilometres travelled, and 38 million animals petted.
But Ubisoft’s Q1 2025 earnings missed targets. The main issue? Rainbow Six Siege.
Siege X got good feedback and more active players. But a pricing bug wrecked in-game spending. CEO Yves Guillemot said the bug is fixed, but it hit revenue hard.

Two other problems: a delayed deal now pushed to Q2, and a bad exchange rate.
Ubisoft is pushing new “Creative Houses”. These teams will manage big franchises. The first one handles Rainbow Six, Far Cry, and Assassin’s Creed. It’s led by Christopher Derennes and Guillemot’s son.
Shadows DLC Claws of Awaji coming soon
The Assassin’s Creed Shadows DLC, Claws of Awaji, lands in fiscal Q2. It brings 10+ hours of new content, skills, and a weapon.

Leaks say it could launch in September. If true, Ubisoft should confirm it soon.
