ASRock has revealed a brand-new right-angled 12V-2×6 GPU cable designed to make gaming PCs both safer and cleaner. Built for modern graphics cards, this cable doesn’t just focus on looks—it also brings a layer of smart protection against overheating.

The L-shaped design helps users with tight cases where bending a normal cable can be risky. At 700 mm in length, fully sleeved in black, the cable is made to look neat while staying strong. The green-tipped ends act as a quick visual guide, so builders can be sure the cable is properly seated with a simple check.

When it comes to power, the cable is no lightweight. It supports up to 600 W thanks to its durable 16 AWG conductors and meets the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards. ASRock suggests pairing it with power supplies of 750 W or higher, making it a solid fit for high-end GPUs.
What makes this cable stand out is its built-in overheating protection. With an NTC temperature sensor hidden inside, the cable can detect when heat levels rise. When connected to ASRock’s Taichi or Phantom Gaming PSUs, this feature can trigger safety measures to protect both the graphics card and the system from damage.
ASRock also gives users a chance to match their setups with included stickers for Taichi, Phantom Gaming, and Steel Legend themes. The cable comes with a two-year warranty for added assurance.
The company has also reminded users about safe usage: always push connectors until they click, don’t bend the cable too close to the plug, and follow GPU maker guidelines to ensure reliable performance.
ASRock GPU Cable price and availability
Priced around $40 (about 5,980 yen in Japan), the cable costs more than standard options, but its mix of safety, durability, and clean design could make it a great investment for gamers and PC builders who want both performance and peace of mind.
