Acemagic has officially introduced its new Retro X5 mini PC, bringing a fresh mix of classic looks and modern performance. The system takes design inspiration from old-school gaming consoles, while offering hardware powerful enough for today’s needs. It is aimed at users who enjoy retro gaming, media use, and daily computer work in a very small space.

The Retro X5 is powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. This CPU comes with 12 cores and 24 threads, allowing it to handle many tasks at the same time. With boost speeds reaching up to 5.1 GHz, the mini PC should feel fast during normal use, light content work, and gaming. Graphics are handled by the integrated Radeon 890M GPU, which includes 16 compute units and runs at speeds of up to 2.9 GHz. This makes it suitable for classic games, older PC titles, and casual modern gaming.

A major upgrade in this system is the built-in AI engine. The Ryzen chip includes an AMD XDNA 2 NPU that can deliver up to 50 TOPS of AI performance. This allows the Retro X5 to support AI-based features in the future, making the system more prepared for upcoming software and smart tools.
For retro gaming fans, Acemagic includes its RetroPlay Box software. This software comes with ready-to-use emulators and basic game tools, making setup much easier for users who want to start playing quickly. Acemagic has also shared plans to improve this software with AI-based features, such as smarter game suggestions, though exact details have not been announced yet.

The Retro X5 supports expandable memory and storage, giving users the option to upgrade later. It also supports multiple displays, which is useful for work setups or home entertainment. On the front, users get a USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Full rear connectivity details have not been revealed so far.
