Resident Evil Requiem teases Raccoon City with stunning NVIDIA visuals

Resident Evil Requiem

Resident Evil Requiem is inching closer to its February 27, 2026 release, and NVIDIA has dropped a new video showing off just how detailed Raccoon City will look. The short 4K Path Tracing and DLSS 4 clip gives fans a glimpse at the dark, gritty city streets and hints at the atmosphere the game is aiming for.

The trailer follows Grace walking through deserted streets, where lighting and shadows steal the scene. Street lamps, glass reflections, and city gloom all combine to make Raccoon City feel alive, though in the kind of way that makes you uneasy. Even in these brief seconds, the environment looks sharp, tense, and very much in line with the series’ signature horror tone.

On the technical front, Resident Evil Requiem is shaping up as a showcase for PC graphics. Path tracing allows multiple light sources to cast realistic shadows and reflections, while refractions through windows and glass surfaces feel natural. The result is an environment that reacts to light and movement, not just a static backdrop.

DLSS 4 helps keep performance smooth without sacrificing visual quality. Capcom says the game has been optimised for a wide range of PCs, so players won’t need top-end hardware to get a solid experience.

For those without high-end rigs, the game will launch on GeForce Now, giving access to RTX 5080-level performance in the cloud with DLSS 4 enabled.

With its release just weeks away, Resident Evil Requiem is already showing that it isn’t just about fancy graphics. Raccoon City looks ready to pull players into a tense, atmospheric survival horror experience.
