TGS 2025 just dropped one of the wildest surprises of the show floor – ANANTA. This is NetEase Games and Naked Rain’s free-to-play open world that looks like someone mashed GTA with an anime fever dream, and the result is glorious chaos.

The new gameplay trailer dives straight into city life. You’re not just running missions, you’re living in a metropolis where everything reacts to you. Stroke a cat in the park, trigger a gang fight down the street, or scroll through a stranger’s phone just to see what they’re up to. If that’s not enough, the game lets you tear through traffic with reckless races or throw yourself into brutal street fights where golf clubs, bins, and whatever’s in reach become weapons. Even better, you can steal enemy gear mid-battle and switch combat styles on the fly.

The city itself feels alive. NPCs have “intelligent behaviour,” interiors stretch across rooftops, mid-levels, and streets, and getting around is pure freedom. Subways, taxis, buses, helicopters, it’s all there. Oh, and there’s “swinging” through skyscrapers. Yes, it’s giving Spider-Man vibes.

On the story front, you’re cast as a task force captain who can slip into multiple lives. One day you’re a cop, the next a hacker, maybe even a delivery driver or streamer chasing clout. Each role adds its own layer of narrative, giving the city endless perspectives.
