Katanaut has finally landed on PC via Steam, and it comes with a surprise twist – Acclaim is officially back in the publishing game, teaming up with developer Voidmaw to bring this roguelite action title to life. Even better, it’s kicking off with a launch discount at $14.39 (about £11.50).

This isn’t your typical side-scroller. Katanaut throws you into a collapsing space station where handcrafted rooms mix seamlessly with procedural generation, so no two runs feel the same. There are no checkpoints to lean on here – each death sends you back to square one, but with new abilities, strategies, and knowledge that push you deeper into the chaos.

Combat is where the game really shines. It’s fast, fluid, and built to keep you on edge. You’ll swing between melee strikes, ranged attacks, and an expanding arsenal of unlockable weapons and perks. Bosses don’t hold back either, scaling in intensity as you push further through the nightmare.

On top of that, the game’s pixel art aesthetic captures a mix of cyberpunk grit and eldritch horror, while the synthwave soundtrack pumps energy into every encounter. With secrets, NPCs, and elite challenges tucked away in the corners of the station, curiosity pays off big time.

Katanaut is here, and it’s built to test your reflexes and patience. The question is – are you ready to step into the void?
