Guild Wars 2 is getting a new expansion. It’s called Visions of Eternity. The release date is set for 28 October. Pre-purchase is live now.

This is part of ArenaNet’s yearly expansion plan. It follows Janthir Wilds from last year. The story takes us to Castora, a lost island filled with magic. The Inquest are after its power. As the Commander, your job is to stop them.

Visions of Eternity brings new maps and updates

You’ll get two new maps at launch. Two more will arrive in 2026. There will be new raids and a new Convergence event. Wizard’s Vault rewards will expand too.

Every profession is getting a new elite spec. These bring new skills and traits. You can test them during the beta from 20 to 27 August.

Skimmer mount and Homestead upgrades

The Skimmer mount gets three new Mastery lines. These will help with underwater movement.

Homesteads are also improving. A new beach plot in Castora is being added. A Layout feature lets you copy and share builds.

New legendary gear and more loot

At launch, you’ll get one legendary weapon and a legendary Aquabreather.

More legendary items will come in future updates. These include a ring, an accessory, and a second weapon. New armour sets and Vault rewards are also planned.
