STALKER 2 is heading to PlayStation 5 later this year. GSC Game World confirmed the release is set for late 2025. The PS5 version will also support the new PlayStation 5 Pro.
It’ll use DualSense features. That includes haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Players will feel more connected to every action in the game.
STALKER 2 first launched on 20 November 2024. It released on Xbox and PC through Steam, Epic, and GOG. It’s also available on Game Pass. Since launch, over one million copies have been sold.
What is STALKER 2?
It’s a post-apocalyptic first-person shooter. The game is set in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. A second explosion in 2006 changed the area forever. Now it’s full of mutants, deadly anomalies, and rival factions.
You play as a lone stalker. Your goal is to survive and uncover the truth hidden deep in the Zone. The story is non-linear. Your choices affect the outcome. The open world spans 64km² and is fully explorable.
Combat, weapons, and factions
You’ll meet different factions. Some might help you. Others may turn against you. The Zone is dangerous, and trust is rare.
Combat is fast and intense. Enemies use smart tactics. There are over 30 weapons. You can modify them to create hundreds of combinations.
Mutants and anomalies
Mutants are one of the biggest threats. They behave in different ways. Some attack alone. Some hunt in packs. Some have special forms that make them even more deadly.
Anomalies are just as dangerous. They warp the environment. Some are easy to spot. Others are not. They often hide powerful artifacts. But reaching them is risky.
