A brand-new VR experience is on the way. nDreams has officially announced Reach, an action-adventure game designed specifically for PlayStation VR2, SteamVR, and Quest. It’s set to launch in 2025, and if early impressions are anything to go by, this could be one of the most ambitious VR titles yet.
Developed by nDreams Elevation, the studio’s premium division focused on high-end VR experiences, Reach aims to deliver something fresh and deeply immersive. According to Glenn Brace, the studio head, the goal was simple: to make players feel completely present and in control of every action. “We’ve always focused on pushing VR gameplay forward,” he said, “and Reach is the result of everything we’ve learned.”
Even Shuhei Yoshida, best known for leading the indie games initiative at Sony Interactive Entertainment, shared his excitement after playing an early version. He described the game as incredibly immersive, praising how free and creative it felt. “This is a big step forward for VR,” he said, clearly impressed by what the team has pulled off.
What to expect from Reach
In Reach, you step into the role of a reluctant hero with unusual powers. The world you enter is twisted between realities, filled with danger, secrets, and mythical forces. Movement and interaction are central to how you play everything from climbing and zip-lining to combat is built to feel fluid and physical, matching your real-world motion.

Here’s a quick look at what the game offers:
- Full-body immersion – You’re not just seeing the world through a headset; you’re fully inside it. The game tracks your whole body for realistic movement and interaction.
- A rich, layered world – Discover strange environments, hidden stories, and creatures that challenge you both physically and mentally.
- Intuitive traversal – Jump, climb, and move through the world smoothly using systems designed specifically for VR comfort and control.
- Dynamic combat – Battles are fast, responsive, and based on your movement. You’re not pressing buttons, you’re fighting.

There’s still a lot we haven’t seen, but what’s been revealed already has set some high expectations. For nDreams Elevation, Reach is more than just a new title, it’s a statement about where VR is heading.
