Cook Serve Forever is cooking up its biggest update yet and this time, it’s bringing the heat to every major platform. Vertigo Gaming has announced that the game will exit Early Access and launch version 1.0 on 31 July for PS5, Xbox, PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam.

The cooking sim originally hit Steam Early Access back in May 2023, but now it’s time for the full menu.

A solarpunk city, sizzling recipes, and Chef Rhubarb?

Set in the bright, futuristic city of Helianthus, Cook Serve Forever follows Nori Kaga, a street food chef with big dreams. She’s aiming to rise through the culinary ranks and impress her idol Chef Rhubarb, the so-called “Culinary Queen”.

If you’ve played the Cook, Serve, Delicious! series before, you’ll feel right at home. But this isn’t just a rehash. It’s a brand-new IP with a fresh twist on the familiar frantic food-prepping formula. Version 1.0 brings a full story campaign, loads of new modes, and over 80 foods and 400 recipes.

What’s on the menu in version 1.0?

  • Full campaign: fully voiced Elspeth Eastman (League of Legends) and Emme Montgomery return
  • New Challenge Modes: Cooking School and Blitz Mode
  • Local co-op: cook side by side with a friend
  • Collectables: galore stickers, medals, achievements in Nori’s Cookbook
  • Original soundtrack: by award-winning composer Jonathan Geer, with 2+ hours of music
  • Hundreds of ingredients: gorgeous artwork, and sidequests to dig into

Cook Serve Forever blends fast-paced gameplay with story, rhythm, and visual flair and it’s shaping up to be more than just a niche kitchen sim.

The full version launches 31 July, but if you’re impatient, you can still check it out on Steam today.
