Grok AI has landed in Teslas. But it’s not for everyone. Only Teslas with AMD Ryzen chips can use it. If your Tesla has an Intel chip, you’re out.
This change makes sense. Tesla switched from Intel to AMD in 2021. Newer models now run on Ryzen V3000 Series chips. These are built on Zen 3 architecture and offer more power.

Grok needs strong hardware. The older Intel Atom systems can’t handle it. That’s why Grok AI won’t work on them.
How to check if your Tesla supports Grok AI
To check your chip, go to:
Settings > Software > Additional Vehicle Info
Look there to see if your Tesla has Ryzen.
Grok doesn’t control your car. It won’t change settings or routes. It only chats with you. Still, it’s fun. Grok is smart, cheeky, and often funny.
Make sure your Tesla has the 2025.26 software update. Without it, Grok won’t show up.
If you’ve got a Ryzen-powered Tesla, you’re in luck. Grok is ready to ride with you. Intel users? You’ll have to wait or upgrade.
