Dead Take reveals teaser trailer with Neil Newbon and Ben Starr in lead roles

Dead Take, a new psychological horror game, has revealed its lead cast. Neil Newbon (Baldur’s Gate III) and Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI) will voice the main characters. The game is developed by Surgent Studios and published by Pocketpair Publishing.

Director Abubakar Salim shared how personal the project is. “Neil, Ben, and I have supported each other during tough times,” he said. “Some of our darkest stories helped shape this game. They didn’t just act. They helped build the heart of it.”

Dead Take promises a gripping story behind the Hollywood shine

Dead Take is set in a quiet, upscale mansion in the Hollywood Hills. Players take on the role of an actor. Their friend has vanished after a fancy Hollywood party. You’ll solve escape-room puzzles and piece together video clips. The goal is to uncover secrets hidden in the world of fame and glamour.

The teaser shows eerie visuals and a haunting tone. It hints at a deeper mystery behind the Hollywood lifestyle. This isn’t just horror, it’s a look at what lies beneath the spotlight.

Dead Take is coming to PC via Steam in 2025.
