Capcom has revealed new monsters, gear, and events for Monster Hunter Wilds. Title Update 2 launches on 30 June.

Monster Hunter Wilds adds Lagiacrus and Seregios

Lagiacrus is back. It last appeared in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. This time, it brings underwater combat to Monster Hunter Wilds. Director Yuya Tokuda said it’s the first flagship monster he fully designed.

Seregios is also returning. It first came to the West in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. It’s faster now, and much tougher. You’ll find both monsters as 8★ Tempered hunts after finishing the main missions. They’ll be available for hunters at HR41 or higher.

Layered weapons and Uth Duna event

On 30 July, Arch-tempered Uth Duna arrives in a limited-time Event Quest. You’ll also get a Free Challenge Quest. Beat it to earn Uth Duna γ and Felyne Uth Duna γ armour.

From this update, layered weapons become available. If you craft the final weapon in a tree or a Rarity 8 Artian or High-Rank Palico weapon, the look will unlock as a layered design. Hunters can show off their style with the updated photo mode, which adds brightness settings, filters, and more display options.

Support features are getting better. You can now choose which Support Hunters to bring. Erik can take over for Alma. Mina, a new Sword & Shield hunter, is also joining your team.

Festival of Accord and more updates coming

Starting 23 July, the Festival of Accord: Flamefete begins. It includes Grand Hub decorations, meals, limited-time gear, and gestures.

A special collaboration is also coming. On 27 August, the Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster, a Fender guitar, becomes a gesture in-game. You can earn it through a timed Event Quest.

Capcom is also adding free and paid DLC. Four free dance gestures will be available. Cosmetic DLC Pack 2 launches as part of the Premium Deluxe Edition and the Cosmetic DLC Pass.

Title Update 3 is planned for late September. More info is coming soon. Monster Hunter Wilds is out now for PS5, Xbox, and PC via Steam.
